Green Belts in Central Jakarta Re-planted

Due to prolonged hot weather in Central Jakarta, causing plants on some green belts in the area severely damaged. In order to make it keep attracting, the wither plants and grasses now have been re-planted.

"The impact of hot weather is certainly unbelievable, that's why we re-plant with lawns thus it will look greener," said Head of Central Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department, Themy Kendra Putra, Thursday (7/30). 

Putra mentioned a number of location re-arranged are at Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Veteran, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Diponegoro, Jalan Kebon Sirih, and Jalan Asia Afrika.

Besides of weather impact, he told, many park are damaged due to being trampled by street vendors. Many sling ropes of park separator were also damaged because of those street vendors who often force to get into the park. 

"We tidy up indeed, but we also hope the related institutes will warn the street vendors who get into the park thus they won't do vandalism," he asserted.
