Satpol PP officers demolished 30 street vendor's kiosks that stood atop the drain of Jalan Sakti IV, RT 08/09, Kemanggisan Urban Village, Palmerah, West Jakarta, Monday (8/3).

The demolition is in accordance with the applicable procedures by notifying vendors through socialization

Palmerah Sub-District Head, Zery Ronazy said scores of street vendors’ kiosks have violated the Bylaw No. 8/2007 on Public Order. In future, the Water Management Sub-Department will be involved to clean up drains, as well as Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department to conduct tree pruning.

" The demolition is in accordance with the applicable procedures by notifying vendors through socialization . Moreover, they also violated the Gubernatorial Regulation No. 224/2015 on Enforcement Order," told Ronazy.

To anticipate similar thing, his side has coordinated with local RW and urban village.

"As the schedule, the urban village and local RT/RW parties plan to beautify the area in welcoming Independence Day," he disclosed.
