70 Schools in East Jakarta to Be Renovated

To improve the education quality in Jakarta, as much as 70 state schools in East Jakarta will be renovated.
Most of the schools are elementary schools

Of the 70 schools, 40 out of them are located in the zone of East Jakarta Region I Education Sub-Department and the rest 30 schools in the region II.
“Most of the schools are elementary schools,” said Head of East Jakarta Region II Education Sub-Department, Ari Budiman, Thursday (8/6).
The renovations itself is done in small and medium scale, like reparation of rooftop or damage floor.
According to Budiman, it was filed to Jakarta Education Department and still await for auction process with the proposed budget by Rp 50 billion.
“Hopefully, the auction could be complete by the end of August, and then continued with renovation in the upcoming September,” said Head of East Jakarta Region II Education Sub-Department, Harno.
