Ahok Instructed Mayor to Relocate Kampung Pulo Residents

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama ensured there would be no further negotiation with local residents in Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta. Considering it was been conducted couple times with solution the residents will be relocated to the flat.

“No more negotiation for 527 plots of land. The previous negotiation was simple, locals agree that Kampung Pulo should be free from flood,” he said at City Hall, Thursday (8/6).

Locals requested the relocation was near the old residential. Then, he pledged to provide the flat on the ex-land of East Jakarta Public Works Sub-Department.
He also instructed East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana to immediately relocate residents to the flat as its land is needed for Ciliwung normalization.
“We can relocate locals immediately. If they ignore it, we will evict them,” he asserted.
