Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) optimistic that hundreds of households (KK) who inhabit Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta willing to be relocated to the Jatinegara Barat Flat.
During this time, they don't want to come in because they hope to receive compensation money and also flat
Previously, some residents refused to be moved because they hope to get compensation from Jakarta Provincial Government. But, Ahok ensured many times that they won't get any compensation because they have occupied government land for decades.
"I'm sure they will move. During this time, they don't want to come in because they hope to receive compensation money and also flat. But if they are aware, they occupy government land and don't have land certificate. Instead they don't have anything, we give them homes," told Ahok in City Hall, Thursday (8/6).
Ahok Responds Kampung Pulo Resident's Report CasuallyAccording to him, a number of resident also questioned the flat ownership because their status just as renters not owners although they can live in it forever and not sell the flat to other party.
"They ask, why they can't have the flat? I answer, actually they have no house and we come to you, to offer you to live in our flat forever as long as you not rent it to others. This is the same as I give you the house but you can't sell or rent it to third parties," explained Ahok.
Ahok suspect if there are unscrupulous people who ask for certificate on rusunawa property, then their intention not as a residence but to trade the flat and get profit. Moreover, the facility in Jatinegara Barat Flat has been like an apartment with the sale price up to Rp 400 million.
"Jatinegara Barat Flat is look like an apartment. We can sell it at least Rp 400 million," told Ahok.
Jatinegara Barat Flat is provided for Kampung Pulo resident who affected by Ciliwung River normalization. At least, as many as 527 land that affected by the project and from the number there is no one who have land certificate which make the land belonged to the state.
