Head of North Jakarta, Marine, Livestock and Food Security Sub-Department, Una Rusmana said the market operation is held to prevent the scarcity of beef stock in traditional market.
“This is done to ease residents in getting such meat after the beef scarsity occured lately,” he said, Tuesday (8/11).
The location was chosen as it considered of high beef demand in the market.
Marlina, (48), a resident of RW 04, Kelapa Gading, stated she was glad that she can get beef meat with affordable price. Moreover, the market price of beef meat reached Rp 130 thousand/kilogram, while in market operation it sold Rp 89,000/kilogram.
“I hope, through the market operation, beef price will back normal,” she finished.
