Beef Market Operation in Klender Market Moved

Beef operation market in Klender Market, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, was moved to Malaka Jaya Urban Village office, Jalan Teratai Putih Raya, Perumnas Klender, Wednesday (8/12) to avoid chaos and rejection by the peddlers.

Previously at 6 AM, teens of peddlers in Perumnas Klender Market, forced the operation to be stopped. After holding a mediation between the peddlers, PD Dharma Jaya and East Jakarta apparatus, finally the operation was agreed to be held outside of the market.

A staff of beef market operation from PD Dharma Jaya, Hardiansyah stated, when the operation was stopped by the peddlers, teens of citizens was queuing. But, due to being forced and avoiding chaos, the team holding the operation then postponed the sales.

"After we stopped the operation temporarily, many citizens asked why the beef is not sold again. Well, as the committee, we're just waiting for the superior's policy," he stated.

Head of East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-Department (KPKP), Bayu Sari Hastuti said, her sub-department has discussed it with the peddlers. As the solution, the operation finally moved to the urban village office.

"Principally, they refuse the operation to be held. They're just afraid if there is an association which sell the beef," she said.

She added, to help the socialization urban village side has coordinated with RT and RW sides to tell citizens. Besides that, her party also installed the beef operation banner around the urban village.
