Trader, the Main Target in Beef Market Operation in East Jakarta

The Beef Market Operation (OP) which held in East Jakarta is targeting traders. With expectation, it could overcome the scarcity of beef and stabilize price.

“Our target is trader, and then appeal local people to utilize and enjoy the market operation which is being held,” said East Jakarta City Secretary, Junaidi, Tuesday (8/11).

More Than 2 Hours, One Ton of Beef in Market Operation Sold Out

According to Junaidi, there are three locations as the initial target in the operation market. They are in Ciracas, Jatinegara and Kramatjati Markets. "Each market will be stocked with 1 ton of beef," he uttered.

Head of East Jakarta Marine, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-Department, Bayu Sari Hastuti stated that the market operation will be held until Wednesday (8/12). "It opens at 5 AM-5 PM, and sell beef from Rp 85-89 thousand," he uttered.

"This is an attempt to overcome the scarcity and hike price of meat by cooperating with PD Dharma Jaya," he told.

For today, the market location is still being discussed. "We'll discuss it later. Besides, we have to do evaluation first," he uttered.
