Satpol PP Dismantled 210 PKL Stalls on Palmeriam Street

Due to covering drainage, as much as ‎210 street vendor (PKL) stalls on Jalan Palmeriam, Matraman, Jakarta Timur, were dismantled by 225 joint officers, Wednesday (8/12).

Certainly, we will continue to curb all places that are not provided for trading

East Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad said, besides restoring drainage which disrupted by the stalls, the effort was also conducted to follow up traders’ complaint in Palmeriam Market about the existence of street vendors around them.

"We hold this operation because we have socialized the PKL and respond complaint from Palmeriam traders who felt the buyer is decreased because of PKL stalls. Certainly, we will continue to curb all places that are not provided for trading," told Husein, Wednesday (8/12).

25 Street Vendors Raided in Cengkareng

Husein added, the curb was held to create Jakarta safe and comfort for all parties. Furthermore, all traders will be moved into some markets after being registered to determined vendors' number and available locations.

"We will relocate them (PKL) into some markets such as Cibubur, and Klender Market because we can't let the market deserted while the street are full by traders," he told.
