As much as 10 cigarette billboards in a number of roads in Cempaka Putih Sub-district, Central Jakarta, were removed. The effort was taken since the billboards violated Governor Regulation No. 1/2015 about Cigarette Billboard Ban.

Besides removing cigarette billboard, the officers also removed delinquent tax billboard.

Chief of Billboard Control for Local Revenue Service Unit of Cempaka Putih Sub-district, Wirawan, explained that his side removed a number of billboards along Jalan Cempaka Putih Raya, Jalan Percetakan Negara, Jalan Ahmad Yani, and Jalan Letjend Suprapto.

"I think the regulation is clear, no cigarette billboard is allowed to be installed on the outer space," he explained, Thursday (8/13).

This effort, he added, also as a warning for other billboard owners to pay the tax.

"Please pay the tax on time, we have provided online system to ease them," he added.
