As many as 60 janitors of North Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department cleaned up the trash along Gendong River, Penjaringan, Sunday (8/16).

The cleaning action was also aimed to anticipate flood during rainy season.

Area Outside of Proclamation Monument CleanedAs a result, she told, the janitors succesfully collected trash which were transported using 4 medium-sized trucks for next disposed to Bantar Gebang Temporary Waste Disposal Site (TPST), Bekasi.
She added, with the clean of Gendong River, she hopes the river could flow smoothly to Pluit Reservoir.
"We also hope citizens particularly live near by the river to participate in maintaining cleanliness," she disclosed.
