Illegal Parking, 8 Cars Towed in North Jakarta

Due to illegal parking, a total of 8 cars towed by North Jakarta Transportation Department.

"Besides violate the rule, the illegal parking also disrupt the security and safety of other passing vehicle," told Mirza Haryadi, North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Tuesday (8/18).

The officers focused control activity in some roads such as Jalan Bukit Gading, Jalan Gading Indah, Jalan Gading Nias, and around Sunter Paradise. "These four points has been installed with no parking sign. As a result, we towed 2 cars on Jalan Bukit Gading, 2 cars on Jalan Gading Indah, 1 car on Jalan Gading Nias, and 3 cars from Sunter Paradise area," he explained.

Violating Traffic Rules, 75 Vehicles Netted

According to him, this control activity was intended to give deterrent effect for the owner and give example to other drivers. "We brought their car to North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Office," he told.

Haryadi added, his side will give no tolerance for the offender. "We will immediately tow vehicles parked recklessly that generate congestion," he told.
