The Dredging of Connecting Channels and River in East Jakarta Continued

Some connecting channels and rivers in East Jakarta will be dredged to anticipate flood and overflowing during rainy season.

Mukhid, Head of Flood Controlling Maintenance System for East Jakarta Management Water Sub-Department also stated, intends to do the dredging for Baru River in Gunung Antang, Matraman. But, a number of residents' building on the road trace hamper the heavy equipments coming in.

"The crossing at Baru river has been fixed, afterwards the crossing towards Ciliwung needs heavy equipment like dump truck, however to use it we need to get permission and coordinated with the locals," he explained.

Currently his party has coordinated with the local sub-district thus the normalization could be accelerated. "We have sent a letter to the sub-district head to help thus the heavy equipment can get in," he closed.
