11 Vehicles Failed on Emission Test

As many as 245 motor vehicles passing in front of South Jakarta Mayor, underwent an emission test in South Jakarta Environment Management Office (KPLH). As a result, 11 of them were failed on the test. 

We hope the test could minimize air pollution

According Assistant of South Jakarta Development and Environment (PKLH), Tri Wahyuningdyah, those failed vehicles have exhaust gas that beyond the limit. Then the vehicle owners were suggested to check the machine in official machine shop.

She told, the test was purposed to realize blue sky program in accordance to Bylaw No.02/2005 on Air Pollution Controlling and Jakarta Gubernatorial Regulations No. 92/2007 on Emission Test of Motor Vehicles. 

12 Cars in South Jakarta Failed in Emission Test

"In South Jakarta, the number of passing vehicles is quite high. We want to observe limit of exhaust gas which is produced by vehicles that could influence clean air," she told. 

The test, she continued, will be held 4 times by targeting 1,000 four-wheeled vehicles. To smoothen the test, South Jakarta KPLH has coordinated with Transportation Department and Police. 

"We hope the test could minimize air pollution," closed Wahyuningdyah.
