DKPKP Coordinates with BPTP for Optimizing Urban Agriculture

The ranks of Jakarta Marine, Agriculture, and Food Security Department is coordinating with Jakarta Agriculture Technological Assessment Body (BPTP) to optimize urban agriculture program in narrow lands. 

To do urban agriculture by using narrow land, it absolutely needs technological innovation support

Such coordination is a technological innovation support for developing vegetables cultivation through verticulture, hydroponics, aeroponics, and vertiminaponics.

"To do urban agriculture by using narrow land, it absolutely needs technological innovation support," said Head of Jakarta DKPKP, Darjamuni, Wednesday (8/19).

Based on that, Darjamuni told, his party initiates to ask for a support from Jakarta BPTSP to apply technology that could help accelerating the program. 

"We're asking BPTP to help the program that currently being promoted by Jakarta government with their technology thus the technology made by researchers could be applied," he uttered. 

During his visit to BPTP office a couple times ago, he continued, he saw several processes and results of BPTP's technology that could support the program. 

"We're interested in technological agriculture there that just need to be conducted indoor by using ordinary light lamps, but be able to produce fertile and healthy vegetables," he disclosed. 

Head of Food Security Division for Jakarta DKPKP, Sri Haryati added the program could be successful quickly if there is a support from Jakarta BPTP. 

"In overall, we're satisfied and optimistic the program would be successful," she expressed.
