Cemetery in Kampung Pulo will Never Be Demolished, Basuki Says

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama asserted that the cemetery in Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, East Jakarta, will not be demolished. 

It's just a rumor spread by some hypocrite people. The cemetery will never be demolished

According to Ahok, the cemetery demolishment is just a rumor. It is spread purposely during the residential demolishment. 

"It's just a rumor spread by some hypocrite people. The cemetery will never be demolished," said Ahok at City Hall, Friday (8/21).

As a matter of fact, he reminded the residents who majority are Muslims that purifying cemetery is polytheist action which include as Chinese culture. 

Besides that, he will also not demolish worship places before the replacements built. 

He also reminded residents not to be instigated easily. A part of them have been starting to move in Jatinegara flat provided.
