Sheetpile base of Bidara Cina Pump House on Jalan Inspeksi Kali Ciliwung, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta experienced avalanche. Its reached 2 meters avalanche with diameter 1.5 meters and 1 meter depth.

“It occured due to often eroded by water flow. If the flood from Bogor, within a month its damage will certainly expanding,” said Abdul Rahman, the operator of Bidara Cina Pump House, Saturday (8/22).

Avalanche causing rocks fell down right in front of the sluice gate and hampering water flow from residential toward Ciliwung river. "The concern is when water level hike up, and cause water overflowing,” he continued.

Rahman has conveyed the problem to East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department. “We report it to them and they will tackle it,” he disclosed.
