14 Pumps Provided in C. Jakarta as Flood Anticipation

Around 14 pumps are provided for 8 sub-districts in Central Jakarta to anticipate flood in the area when rainy season comes. 

So far there is no any malfunction on those pumps because they're keep being maintained

Head of Central Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Herning Wahyuningsih stated, generally those pumps operate normally and hoped they would be ready to be operated in rainy season.

Those 14 pumps are at Jl Thamrin precisely behind of Jaya Building. Then Jl Mapalus, Jl Topas, Jl Industri,Jl Kartini, Jl Mangga Dua Apdat, Jl Mangga Besar 13, Jl Rajawali Selatan, di Jl Jati Pinggir 1-3, Tanah Abang, and Jl Sumur Batu. Even the unit has big pump on Dukuh Atas Underpass and Jalan Angkasa Kemayoran. 

"So far there is no any malfunction on those pumps because they're keep being maintained," she explained, Thursday (8/20). 

Based on the observation, in Dwi Warna Pump House at Mangga Besar Raya, Sawah Besar, there are two pumps stored in a big building sized 3x20 square meters. 

However, beritajakarta.com team was not allowed to take a picture of those pumps. The pumps are used to vacuum water from Ciliwung Rivulet to the river at Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya.
