274 Buildings Violated IMB Along January-July 2015

Along January-July 2015, as much as 274 buildings have violated building permit (IMB) in Central Jakarta. 45 out of them were been demolished.

Of the 274 offenders, some are not demolished. Because some owners can still renew the permit, so we just sent them warning letter and sealed the building

 

Control Section Head of Central Jakarta Urban Planning Sub-Department, Ki Hajar Bonang said his side demolished 33 buildings and 12 non-residential houses.

"Of the 274 offenders, some are not demolished. Because some owners can still renew the permit, so we just sent them warning letter and sealed the building," he stated. Monday (8/24).

 

His side gives opportunity for owners to process the permit until upcoming December. "About hundreds of buildings will be demolished, because the owner cannot renew the permit" Bonang told.

 

The owners, he continued, usually violate the rule by expand land, add more level and other. "They argued that only want to maximize the existing land, so can be used for various need such as residential, stall, and garage," he told.

 

Than 2014, he detailed, the number of building permit offenders this year is decreasing. Last year along January-December, there were 338 offenders, and 274 offenders this year.

 

"Last year, there was still socialization at each sub-district office by inviting citizen, RT/RW, and urban village. It included night service about building permit," he finished.
