Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department is about to hold socialization about fire prevention in Jatinegara Barat Flat, East Jakarta.

" We'll hold socialization in Jatinegara Barat Flat, the relocation place of Kampung Pulo Resident ," said Head of Empowerment and Community Participation for Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department, Abdul Chair, Tuesday (8/25). 

According to Chair, the occupants should get the socialization as now they live in vertical residential. "There's different between living in residential and flat. They should know about fire cause, handling, and evacuation if it happens. 

He told, the most fire incident are caused by human error. "Fire-prone areas in Jakarta continue to exist due to dry and flammable stuffs. Even on last Saturday, there had been 8 cases a day," he disclosed.

Such socialization, he continued, is based on Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama's instruction
