Budget Team Appealed to Be Active Holding Meeting with DPRD

Jakarta Vice Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat appealed the budget drafting team to be more active holding meeting with Jakarta Legislative Council regarding 2016 City Budget (APBD). 

I will encourage the team to be pro-active discussing it with legislatives

It is following with the low absorption of 2015 City Budget. 

" I will encourage the team to be pro-active discussing it with legislatives . Thus in January, APBD bylaws could be agreed between legislatives and executives," said Djarot in South Jakarta, Wednesday (8/26). 

APBD Absorption Should Be Pushed

According to him, the low absorption of the budget is because it was just ratified using Gubernatorial Regulation last April, after the discussion ended with deadlock. 

However, he is optimistic the absorption would be increased.

"Usually the most absorption occurs in 4 months on completion project period, that is in November and December," he explained.
