traders in Cipete Market, South Jakarta revealed red chili price hit Rp 70
thousand/kg previously it was Rp 25 thousand/kg. Curly chili from Rp 35
thousand hike to Rp 50 thousand, while chili paddy previously sell Rp 30
thousand to Rp 45 thousand.
“Chili price is fluctuated one month
lately, its price decrease since last two days an now it hiking up,” he said,

Karni acknowledged that he has no
idea about the cause of unstable chili price. “I have no idea about it, whether
it caused by seasonal matter or its supply,” he uttered.
Head of South Jakarta Micro Small
and Medium Cooperative Enterprises Sub-Department (KUMKMP), Joko Indro stated that the increasing chili
price is the impact of long dry season.
“We’ll do monitoring in various
markets every day and report to department, if we can’t handle that,” he
closed.
