Budget Absorption will Be Maximized in 2016 Through APBD-P

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama asserted low budget absorption will be maximized on upcoming City Budget.

First in history, revised city budget will be applied in 2016

“How come it can be late? The reason isn’t because it ratified in last May. That’s because many items price had been marked up, we indeed intentionally submitted it to e-budgeting,” he said in the sideline of Governor Direction upon President’s Instruction against Budget Absorption at Pattern Room, City Hall, Thursday (8/27).

Ahok highlighted the construction of sport arena by 3,500 width area which budgeted Rp 48 billion. He considered such budget was not make sense. If compared with luxury sport arena in US which merely spent Rp 46 billion.

Another case is school building renovation. “This is a mark up example, how come it spent for Rp 20 billion. That’s why we halt it. We’ll fix it in 2015 Revised City Budget (APBD-P),” he uttered.

On upcoming 2016, City Administration will use proper budgeting as the whole process through electronic system. Ranging from e-musrenbang up to e-budgeting.

“First in history, revised city budget will be applied in 2016,” he expressed.

Separately, regarding the issue of many official reluctant to use City Budget, he considered that's unnecessary. “No need to be worry about,” he finished.
