Tourism Association in Seribu Islands Expected to Have Synergy

Budi Utomo, Regent of Seribu Islands Regency, inducted the Management of Resort Island Association period 2015-2016 on Thursday (8/27) yesterday. It is hoped they could synergize to develop tourism sector in the islands settlement.

"Yesterday, we had inducted the new management. In line with development of tourism sector in Seribu Islands at this time, we ask for synergy related with tourism packages," said Utomo, Friday (8/28).

Through such induction, he stated, there will be no market competition between the manager of resort, travel agent and traditional tourism agent in the islands settlement.

"We're promoting the new tourism police in the field thus there is no longer market competition, but synergy," he expressed.

His side hoped association or other associations also came out and take part in order to fix the tourism problems. One of which is currently under way and in evaluation phase is the implementation of a taxi boat ticket which is also managed by the cooperative.
