3,000 Participants Enlivened Gebyar Recreational Sport

About 3,000 participants enlivened the Gebyar Recreational Sport which was held in Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Saturday (8/29). The competition was divided into 3 categories, such as gymnastic, disability, and traditional sport. 

In daily life, there are activitties that should be done. So by exercising can maintain our body fitness

Assistant of Community Welfare for Jakarta Provincial Government, Fatahillah conveyed the best regards of Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) who could not come to the event.

However, he stated, Ahok reminded that the event could be socialized and developed thus can realize healthy Jakartans. 

"In daily life, there are activities that should be done. So by exercising can maintain our body fitness," he told. 

Head of Jakarta Sports and Youth Department, Firmansyah Wahid explained such event was participated by contingent of each area in the city. Among them are welfare movement association (PKK), disabilities, some regional athlete, college students and community sport implementers. 

"This is part of socializing the recreational sport. This is the first event held in Jakarta," he explained. 

Kinds of competition competed are aerobic, creational gymnastic, enggrang, and tug of war. The event itself will be ongoing until Sunday (8/30).
