In order to solve flood in Jakarta, Jakarta Water Management Department will acquire land to be used for 4 new reservoirs development.

“We will use Rp 1.3 trillion in budget amendment to free the land,” told Tri Djoko Sri Margianto, Head of Jakarta Water Management Department, Monday (8/31).

4 locations which will be used for development are Jagakarsa Reservoir with area of 3.1 hectares, then Kampung Rawa Minyak in Pasar Minggu with area of 3.5 hectares, Pinang Ranti besides Taminis Square with area of 1.3 hectares, and Jalan Raya Pondok Rangon Reservoir with area of 3.1 hectares.
Djoko added, authority for land acquisition will be divided into 3 institutions in accordance with applicable regulation. If the land once 75 % freed, the land could be processed further through land procurement committee (P2T).
“If the process is below 75 percent, the process could be continued by National Land Agency (BPN). But, if the land is less than 5 hectares, we can immediately process it through notary for files inspection,” he told.
According to him, most of land owners have been agreed with Department’s plan, and chose appraisal team to estimate the price. “We will also involve notary to check resident’s land certificate. We targeted, the land will be freed on upcoming September,” he uttered.
