Water Flow Cut Off, Citizens Comes to Aetra Office

Before that, his party will acquire two operators of clean water management in Jakarta. Both are PT Palyja and PT Aetra. Thus the water management is fully under PD PAM Jaya, like Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD).

“The previous regulation was weak. Yesterday, we also got the lawsuit when wanted to take over PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro). And now, we want to acquire PD PAM Jaya,” he asserted.

If the company was acquired, the government could monitor and manage both operators. As for West Jakarta, is managed by PT Palyja and East Jakarta by PT Aetra.

“No more residents pay Rp 1,050/meter cubic but Rp 10,000/cubic,” he uttered.

To smoothen the plan, Ahok is still waiting approval from Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD). "Yet, it is not yet issued, whereas proposal was been sent three times," he finished.
