Basuki Asked Freelancer to Report Salary Cuts

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), asked the freelancers to report if their salary is cut. If any of civil servants do so, they surely be fired.

The governor admitted has seen this case. Several foremen asked the freelancer's some money or they cannot work anymore.

"They did it. No wonder if freelancers will give their money because of need job," said Basuki, Tuesday (9/1).

According to him, the freelancers have been contracted individually and paid Rp 2.7 million based on UMP.

"Previously, they were paid Rp 600-800 thousand," he added.

Basuki continued that there are several freelancers did not report this incident. It is because they did not work properly.

"They could be a lazy worker, but always asking full payment. I warn to them, please report it to us. I'll fire the civil servants who are involved in this case," Basuki continued.
