13,058 PHL Received BPJS Ketenagakerjaan

As many as 13,058 freelancers (PHL) of Jakarta Cleanliness Department (Dinsih) received Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) card. By this card, the PHL have the accident and life insurance.

If the PHL is injured at work, they will get Rp 48 million compensation

Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Aji said, this provision is one of Jakarta Provincial Government commitmen ts to give protection of death and occupational accidents for all PHL who works with the risk of accident-prone in the field.

He added, after participating in BPJS, the PHL is obliged to pay premium of Rp 32,130 per month which is taken automatically from their salaries monthly. As known, the PHL salaries reached Rp 2,7 million per month.

"If the PHL is injured at work, they will get Rp 48 million compensation. In fact, their children will also receive scholarship of Rp 12 million which is only valid for one child. These workers also have right to get protection in accordance with law. So they will get basic rights to social protection" told Isnawa Aji in his office, Thursday (7/30).

Widodo Prihatin (42), a PHL admitted that he is very happy to have BPJS card. Previously, the father of two children tried to register BPJS, but still not get a response yet.

"I've been working as PHL since 1999, I admitted this BPJS make us more comfortable and happy," told Widodo.
