Hundreds of street vendors who have kiosk in the JP 37 and JP 38 Poncol markets will be relocated in the near future. Even, Jakarta Micro Small and Medium Cooperative Enterprises Department is coordinating with PD Pasar Jaya to find relocation place.

“ After arrangement process is done, we’ll ask PD Pasar Jaya to find the new location ,” said Irwandi, Head of Jakarta Micro Small and Medium Cooperative Enterprises Department, on the sidelines of Road and River Refunction Socialization in Ahmad Yani Building, Army Topography Directorate, Wednesday (9/2).

From Jakarta Micro Small and Medium Cooperative Enterprises Department's inventory, the total number of vendors around both markets is reaching 400 people. While the number of guided street vendors reached 726 people.

“The area is the favorite one place in Central Jakarta and its location is strategic. No wonder, it is always crowded,” he told.

The plan is, the market concept would be changed like hangar concept.

“All channels would be arranged. We’ll restore its function as an initial plan,” he finished.
