BMKG: Dry Season to Hit Jakarta Until November

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that dry season will be ongoing until November. Whereas, it usually happens from April until September. 

Normally, dry season will end in September or October. But this year the period is longer than last year

Head of Central BMKG, Mulyo Prabowo stated, special for Jakarta area, rainy season will begin in December. However, raining in November will happen with light to medium intensities. 

"Normally, dry season will end in September or October. But this year the period is longer than last year," he explained, Wednesday (9/2). 

BMKG: Dry Season Predicted Happens Until the End of October

He told, the longer dry season is affected by El Nino symptoms globally in Indonesia and Pacific Ocean. The effect is the hot of sea water and the decrease of water vapor in the air in. Thus automatically, rain in Indonesia will be decreased to happen. 

The impact is during dry season, the air temperature in the capital at noon is about 32-35 Celsius degree. Normally, it is only 23-31 Celsius degree. While at night, the temperature is lower, it is 25 Celsius degree.
