50 New Dump Trucks to Come This September

A total of 50 dump trucks that was ordered by City Cleanliness Department started coming. This is the first batch of the 352 new dump trucks procurement.

“As much as 352 dump trucks will come this September. It comes gradually,” said Ali Maulana Hakim, Deputy of City Cleanliness Department at City Hall, Thursday (9/8).

He acknowledged, those trucks come at the first batch will be directly distributed throughout Jakarta.

“The procurement is purposed to replace the old ones to maximize trash transportation,” he uttered.

Those trucks prioritized to transport trash in residential areas. The new fleet is expected to stop truck rental in the next year, according to Jakarta Governor’s mandate, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama. “Anyway, there are 352 new dump trucks with varied size and unit price," he mentioned.

Hakim further said truck will be installed Global Positioning System (GPS). "So you know where are they, whether they are on the right track or not,” he disclosed.
