Cleanliness Dept: No More Dump Trucks Rental in 2016

Starting 2016, Jakarta Cleanliness Department will no longer rent dump trucks from private side. As planned, the department will optimize the budget saved to buy new dump trucks.

"Next year, we're no longer rent dump, but buy them more to cover all dump transportation in the city," said Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Adji, at City Hall, Monday (7/13). 

He mentioned, as many as 355 new dump trucks will operate in the upcoming October. "Those dump trucks are purchased through 2015 City Budget (APBD) via e-catalog system," he expressed.

Dump Truck Driver to Connect With Smart City Program

Approaching of end year, he continued, the Jakarta Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) also plans to allocate additional budget support in 2015 revised budget (APBD-P) for 600-650 dump trucks. "Its nominal is not checked yet, but the type of trucks purchased are various ranging from big, small, tronton, and arm roll types," he explained. 

He claimed his party had to conduct a dump truck rental agreement to the private a couple times ago as the department is often overwhelmed during big event, such as new years’ eve or Jakarta anniversary youngster night or popularly known as malam muda-mudi.

"Right now, there is no more problem because we have our own fleets. Before the budget ratified, in January-March, usually we have a trouble related to dump trucks, but now we already have our own fleets and it can be optimized up to two rit. There will be no more dump trucks rental system starting early January 2016," he closed.
