There were 198 fire cases during January to August 2015 in West Jakarta, and 27 cases in first week of September 2015.
Total loss during that period was Rp 68.49 billion
"Based on calculation, there were three or four cases in a week," said Pardjoko, West Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue, Tuesday (9/8).
Of 167 cases, mostly the fire was caused by short-circuit electricity by 121 cases. Next were stove by 10 cases, cigarette 16 cases, and others 52 cases.
