As many as 18 buildings that located in Diponegoro ex-Market, Jalan Diponegoro, Salemba, Senen, Central Jakarta, demolished, Sunday (9/13).
The land is slated to be used as a green open space (RTH) park
Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede stated, all buildings were demolished as they built on green belt. The peddlers then relocated to some traditional markets.
"The land is slated to be used as a green open space (RTH) park. As it is a part of green belt designation area," told Pardede, when he led the demolishment.
Diponegoro Market Emptying Went CondusiveThe 800-square-meter land will eventually blend with RTH on ex-land of gas station located at the west side.
The demolishment itself has involved 150 officers.
