Traffic Controlling Personnel Formed to Crack Down on Traffic Violation

City Administration and City Police have formed 100 personnel of Traffic Controlling. The personnel will crack down on motorists who violate the traffic rule.

The main duty of the personnel is to crack down on traffic offenders

Head of City Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah disclosed the personnel consist of 25 personnel from Traffic Directorate for City Police, 25 personnel from Satpol PP and 50 personnel from City Transportation Department.

“ The main duty of the personnel is to crack down on traffic offenders ,” he disclosed, at City Hall, Monday (9/14).

City Transportation Dept. to Crack Down Uber & Grab Car

According to him, those personnel were formed to crack down on online public transport, such as Uber Taksi and Grab Car. It is also applied to omprengan or public transport with black plate.

He furthered the duty is the same with Quick Response Team, that is by following up the case in the field, either evidence or report from resident. “Our target location is an area that has been identified and complaint report from Qlue app, mass media and social media,” he uttered.

Those personnel, he added, will monitor and tackle various traffic problems in every single day. Especially on Monday, they will be placed in some areas that are prone to traffic violation on Sunday.

“They will be active on Monday-Saturday. Especially on Sunday, we plot them as due to low violation potential,” he finished.
