Transportation Ministry Asked to Realize the Rest of Grant Buses

The City Administration instructed Transportation Ministry to realize grant of 300 Bus Rapid Transits (BRT). So far, only 78 units were already realized and have been operated by PPD Public Corporation as Transjabodetabek armada.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah stated a part of those branded Hino buses, have been operated on Transjakarta lanes or corridors.

"78 buses had been handed over to PPD, and the rests will still be operated by them. We will re-arrange the lanes and corridors. Now it is being evaluated. That's the deal," he voiced, Monday (9/14).

According to him, the integrated bus network (APTB) cannot decide to join with PT Transjakarta management. "They are still unclear whether join with us or not. So, we will ask the ministry to realize 300 grants of bus. Thus if APTB refuses, they will just take disadvantage," he expressed.

Whereas, he continued, rupiah rate per kilometer has been auctioned on e-catalog of the Government Procurement of Goods and Services Agency (LKPP). "Mr. Governor was about to drive them away, or limit their operational until boundary only. But I told him it's no need to, as their operational will be just off after BRT operate," he uttered.

However until this time, Jakarta Transportation Department side still gives a chance to APTB operator for joining with PT Transjakarta and apply rupiah rate per kilometer. Considering, the rests of BRT grants will predictably be re-imported by the end of this year.

"The point is, we keep asking APTB to join. But we also ask grant bus from the ministry. So, we have prepared plan B if APTB refused," he closed.
