APTB is a Past Mistake, Ahok Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama claimed the integrated bus network (APTB) is a past mistake. The APTB designated route was issued from the game of unruly officials who violating Jakarta Provincial Government's policy. 

There was a government's person who play designated route with the Jakarta Organization of Land Transportation Owners (Organda). I have no idea how was APTB created, it's totally a wrong policy

"There was a government's person who play designated route with the Jakarta Organization of Land Transportation Owners (Organda). I have no idea how was APTB created, it's totally a wrong policy," said Ahok, at City Hall, Thursday(7/5). 

He stated, the concept of APTB designated route operating until surrounding city is totally wrong. Whereas, Transjakarta bus service that supposed to spread until city boundary for transporting passengers.

"We're ready to allocate budget for constructing Transjakarta bus lane in surrounding the city. How much it needs? Rp 1 trillion or Rp 2 trillion, we will provide it. Regent, mayor, they're all good friends. They surely want Transjakarta operating in their area. So, it's not APTB," he uttered. 

Basuki also deplored the demeanor of Organda pushing caretakers' ego without paying attention of operators and passengers. "What is Organda's duty? Helping Jakarta Transportation, prospering drivers and bus owners. Not only to be caretaker who is just yelling. City transportation have been wrong for dozens years, what is their duty?," he asserted. 

As known, Jakarta Communications and Transportation Department has held a meeting along with The Jakarta Organization of Land Transportation Owners (Organda) discussing about rupiah per kilometer system a couple of times ago. 

The Organda disagreed with fares offered by government, that is about Rp 14,000-Rp 15,000/km. Yet they asked for Rp 18,000/km.
