Jakarta still needs APTB. Jakarta Provincial Government wants to apply one-integrated system on city transportation network
“Jakarta still needs APTB. Jakarta Provincial Government wants to apply one-integrated system on city transportation network,” he said, Wednesday (5/13).
APTB is a Past Mistake, Ahok SaysHe asked Jakarta Transportation Department and APTB operator to re-hold a meeting to resolve the problem. If not, it will have an impact on public service.
According to him, the APTB operator and City Land Transportation owner (Organda) must be given understanding continuously that Jakarta government wants to apply one-integrated system. Not only APTB, in the future, all the transportation should be integrated, such as Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), as well as Integrated Busway (BKTB).
“All the transportation network should apply such system. Besides lanes, its system should also be integrated. The related units must give understanding to the APTB operator and the Organda,” he expressed.
Previously, the APTB was not allowed to operate on Transjakarta bus lanes because there is no agreement on fares nominal for rupiah per kilometer payment. Thus the bus just allowed to operate until bus stop near the border area between Jakarta and partner region.
Such policy was taken after the APTB operator which represented by the Organda refused the rupiah per kilometer system by Rp 14-15 thousand from PT Transportasi Jakarta. They requested fares over Rp 18,000 per kilometer.
Those six APTB operators are Otobus Bianglala Metropolitan, PO Mayasari Bhakti, PO Sinar Jaya, Hiba Utama, Agramas, as well as Djakarta Transportation Company. They are hoped could apply the system.
