Honorary Teacher in Jakarta Paid According to UMP

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), ensures the honorary teacher in the capital will be paid according to Province Minimum Wage (UMP). Before that, they will be included as government's servant with working contract (PPPK). The cannot be transformed as civil servant since their age are close retirement period.

The honorary teacher matter has been solved through Act No 5/2014 about State Civil Apparatus (ASN)

"The honorary teacher matter has been solved through Act No 5/2014 about State Civil Apparatus (ASN)," Basuki told, Tuesday (9/15).

According to the governor, UMP-based salary is also given to freelancers (PHL) and PPSU personnel.

"If their civil servant test is failed, I'll move them to PPPK," he added.

The honorary teacher will also get old age insurance based on PPPK.

"Have you wonder why people want to be a civil servant, because they get the old age insurance. We will also give it in PPPK," he disclosed.
