Transjakarta, MRT & LRT Will Minimize Traffic Congestion

Various ways to minimize traffic congestion keep being carried out by City Administration. One of them is by developing and building mass transportation, namely Transjakarta, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT).

Our goal is to encourage resident to use public transport rather than private

Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Andri Yansyah hoped that in future, public transport would be a major need for resident thus they will no longer rely on private vehicle.

LRT Predicted to Minimize Congestion Up to 30 Percent

Of the three public transports in Jakarta such as Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT, he stated, only Transjakarta that can be used by resident. As for MRT and LRT are still under construction and planning.

“ Our goal is to encourage resident to use public transport rather than private ,” he voiced, at the office of Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ), Central Jakarta, Wednesday (9/16).

Another way is by developing on-street parking through retribution. If it is charged, it will cause congestion in the field.
