City to Remove Medium Bus

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama will remove medium bus gradually in capital. Single bus fleet like Transjakarta is prepared to serve Jakartans.

“No more medium bus operating in the future. There will be Transjakarta everywhere,” he said at City Hall, Thursday (9/17).

According to him, the removal will be done gradually.  It is because around 320 units of Kopaja to face rejuvenating process. “They have already ordered 320 medium bus, but still we’ll remove it gradually,” he expressed.

According to the plan, those bus will operate under Transjakarta management and will be paid using rupiah per kilometer system. As well as training for the driver.

Ahok asserted the ignorant bus operator will certainly slowly but sure bankrupt as concerning City Administration has provided city tour bus which is free. “If you still insist, you will certainly bankrupt for sure. Who want to grab ugly bus if better bus is provided for free,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, he has instructed Jakarta Transportation Department to dismiss the operation of Kopaja 612 route (Kampung Melayu-Ragunan) which hit motorist yesterday. “I’ve told the Sub-Dept. head to impose sanction against them,” he closed.
