Istiqlal Mosque Ready to Accomodate 200,000 pilgrims for Eid Prayer

Ahead of Idul Adha 1436 Hijri, the Istiqlal Mosque predicts that as many as 200,000 pilgrims would conduct Eid prayer in this largest mosque in Southeast Asia.

Besides local citizens, president and vice president as well as high-level officials and state guests will also do Eid prayer in Istiqlal Mosque

As planned, the Eid prayer will be led by Imam (prayer reader), Drs. H Hasanuddin Sinaga and Khatib by HM Amin Abdullah with khutbah theme "Sacrifice for the Advancement of the Nation and Civilization".

“Besides local citizens, president and vice president as well as high-level officials and state guests will also do Eid prayer in Istiqlal Mosque,” said Head of Istiqlal Mosque Public Relation, Abu Hurairah, Tuesday (9/22).

Istiqlal Mosque Prepare 50 Slaughtermen

Hurairah urged his side urged citizen who wants to conduct Eid prayer in Istiqlal to take Subuh prayer because there will be sterilization from Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres).

As for the information, the mosque can accommodate 200,000 pilgrims, with details in Main Building (61,000 pilgrims), Preface Building (8,000 pilgrims), terrace (50,000 pilgrims), corridor and other sites (81,000 pilgrims).
