51 Buildings of Street Vendors Ex Shelter in C. Jakarta Demolished

Tens of buildings in two locations of street vendors temporary shelter, JP 19 and 20, at Jalan Pembangunan I, RW 01, Petojo Utara, Gambir, Central Jakarta, demolished.

"There are 23 buildings in JP 19 and 26 buildings in JP 20. All of them were built permanently and their operational permit has been revoked since 2 years ago. So now we're demolishing them all," said Gambir Sub-District Head, Fauzi, when he led the demolishment, Monday (9/28).

According to him, before being demolished, the vendors have been socialized. "Because the permit is already expired, and it cannot be extended anymore," he told.
