Addition of Diorama in Monas Must Have Permission from Setneg

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama stated, the addition of diorama in National Monument (Monas) must have permission from State Secretary (Setneg). The addition was proposed as  there are some history momentum that could add the content such as president direct election.

"I've told the management of Monas. But it must be reported and reviewed by the secretary," said Ahok at City Hall, Monday (9/28).

He proposed the diorama of president direct election as it was also the nation's history after the collapse of new order .

"The first direct election was Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. That's our history, it's the first time," he expressed.

Even, he continued, the president elected could lead up to 2 periods. The moment was a great history for Indonesia. "So we should appreciate Mr. SBY who could get the trust for 10 years," he disclosed.

Previously, Historian Asvi Warman Adam assessed diorama in Monas should be upgraded until the end of New Orde. Currently it is only ended until Supersemar 1966.
