Wednesday, Athlete Village Groundbreaking Conducted

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to conduct a groundbreaking of Athlete Village in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. The village development will be managed by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as city's Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD).

Abdul Hadi, Director of PT Jakpro, admitted his side received a letter from State Secretariat to conduct the groundbreaking.

"Wednesday, we run the groundbreaking," he said, Monday (9/28).

Basuki will Conduct Homestead Athlete Groundbreaking

The athlete village will be built in seven blocks with 14,000 units. Even, it would be made as a flat belongs to low cost-apartment (rusunami). Before that, it would accommodate athlete in the 2018 Asian Games.

Besides this village, another infrastructure is also accelerated, such light trail transit (LRT).

"All is still being prepared, including groundbreaking. The contractor will run in the upcoming November," he added.

As for the information, the village will have 11 and 5 hectares. Previously, the land was owned by the State Secretary. And then handed over to the city administration for 2018 Asian Games. Allocation will be done as the government investment participation (PMP) of PT Jakpro to develop athlete village.
