Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama agreed on City Legislative Council (DPRD)'s proposal to raise governor’s salary. With one note, there must be evidentiary assets.

“ I don’t mind. I’ve told you before that’s good to raise salary from President to Mayor but there should be evidentiary asset, ” he said at City Hall, Monday (9/28).

According to him, the transparency is the key. Ranging from tax payment until lifestyle.

“I do agree on this idea. As our official have a little salary but have luxury lifestyle,” he stated.

Ahok admitted that the official’s salary is less compared than BUMD/BUMN employees. “No wonder if President Director of Bank Mandiri is rich because the salary reached Rp 250 million per month,” he expressed.

Nevertheless, the governor's salary still gets various allowances, but it cannot beat President Director of BUMD/BUMN's salary.
