10 JPOs in Kali Item will Be Evaluated

As many as 10 pedestrian bridges (JPO) on the Kali Item, Kemayoran, are being evaluated.

We're proposing those bridges to be removed or installed with pollard thus motorcycles cannot pass by

Kemayoran Sub-District Head, Herry Purnama stated, the 10 pedestrian bridges in Kali Item are often misused. Those bridges that supposed to be used for pedestrian, now used by motorcycles and carts.

"We're proposing those bridges to be removed or installed with pollard thus motorcycles cannot pass by," he stated, Tuesday (9/29).

Related to this matter, Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Arifin stated, those bridges are being evaluated. As there are still many people need them.

"Those bridges are used by people to cross. It's not right if motorcycles also use it. If those bridges are still maintained, they should be installed with pollard," he asserted.

According to him, Kali Item inspection road will be re-functioned immediately.

"Because the road will also be passed by vehicles. If they suddenly come up from the bridges, it will cause accident," he expressed.
