Transportation Dept to Control App-Based Ojek

Jakarta Transportation Department will summon the app-based ojek (motorcycle taxi) owners over raid against ojek drivers who often waiting for passenger on the sidewalks, parks, and roadsides.

Where is the fact? If they look for passenger, please don't on public facilities

According to Andri Yansyah, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, strict action against app-based ojek will be conducted, such as Gojek on sidewalk and roadside. The initial step is by summoning a CEO and GoJek owner, Nadiem Makarim for questioning.

“I’ll summon the GoJek owner. His statement does not match with his previous commitment when he promoted GoJek,” he exclaimed, at City Hall, Thursday (10/1).

Online Ojek Used Sidewalk as Their Base

He furthered that during GoJek promotion, Nadiem had promised that his fleet would not cause traffic congestion. As they use online system without base.
