Ciliwung - KBT Penetration Channel Contruction Has Reached 50 Percent

The project of Ciliwung - East Flood Canal (KBT) penetration channel (sodetan) has reached 50 percent out of total lenght 1.2 kilometers. The line work for both tunnel in Kebon Nanas, Cipinang Besar Selatan Urban Village, up to arriving shaft on Jalan Otista III, Cipinang Cempedak Urban Village, Jatinegara has been done.
Both line as long as 600 meters have been installed.
Previouly, the first line project had been done in June 2015. The arriving shaft towards inlet of penetration channel is waiting for land buying process.
Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, said the penetration channel needs eight months to be finish. At this moment, the half project was already finished in four months.

He has coordinated with Jakarta Provincial Government as his side needs land for the inlet. The land is still occupied by Bidara Cina residents.
According to him, the inlet project needs 1.1 ha in RW 04, 05, and 14 of Bidara Cina Urban Village. So far, mostly the residents have been relocated to Cipinang Besar Selatan flat, East Jakarta.
